Cozy place. Owner is very sweet and very attentive. The food is so reasonably priced. The seafood pancake is the best I have had. The galbi was very flavorful and the hand made dumplings were also excellent. The cold noodle seemed to lack some flavor. The hand made noodle was good but also needed more flavor. Overall a great at home feeling and very enjoyable dinner.

This is a cozy, casual spot run by a grandma. The food was delicious, and the menu was simple. It's mostly self-serve, but the owner was very attentive and came out to check on the tables regularly. They also give out a small pot of kimchi per table. We'll definitely come back to try the mandu!

Very mom and pop and such wonderful smells. I enjoyed the barley tea too. The banchan was very good. My friend kept eating all the radish

Buy this grandma a business class ticket to Seoul and get her on the next season of Culinary Class Wars. Why? Because Auntie Omakase #1 has nothing on her. If you want the classics of Korean soul food cooked to perfection, look no further. The delicate and meaty soft tofu stew. The rich broth and chewy noodles of the kalguksu. The tangy yet not overly acidic kimchi. The fluffy and crispy seafood pancake, bursting with fresh green onions. Are you hungry yet? I haven't even mentioned the handmade dumplings (don't worry, others have). The place is homey despite the glassed in counter, and the food comes out quickly. Prices feel like pre-pandemic. Grandma has a kind word for everyone, so come and sooth yourself with her not-so-humble delicacies.

The owner of the place is so sweet! She came to our table and asked us how the food was and tell you what, it was GOOOD! From the M3 Steamed dumplings, short ribs, and the beef ribs soup, hearty and filling. Complimentary kimchi was also amazing! Def a mom and pop shop vibe. I would come back again

Wow. This place is amazing. Cannot believe we did not try this place earlier. The restaurant is located on Lemoine / 9W, north of the highway bridge, away from Fort Lee main street. There is a parking lot next to it but it seems like the parking lot is not actually associated with the restaurant, so we found street parking. The restaurant is cozy, clean and well kept. You order at the counter and they bring you the food. It seems like it is owned and run by the very nice Korean lady who staffs the counter. On a Thursday evening it was busy but not packed. They essentially have dumplings, soups and a few rice dishes. The dumplings are handmade and delicious and you get a bunch of them with one order, but warning - they are tiny. The soups are delicious. We had a noodle soup and a beef rib soup special. The big chunks of beef in the beef rib soup were tender, fell off the bone and very flavorful. Their green onion pancake is also very thick and crispy. We will definitely be back.

Grandma's Bapsang is a homey spot for heartwarming Korean food! Their kalguksu, mandu, and jigaes are all great! The gukbap has a really unique umami flavor so I'd recommend it if you like this dish! The clam kalguksu has a different broth than the regular one so if you like clams I'd recommend it. The mul mandu are really satisfying little bites! Next time I'll have to try the soondubu. I ordered by menu number but I think they misheard me so I ended up with a different dish. Everything is good so no complaints but it might be good to double check your order if you ordered by number or in English instead of Korean. The grandma is super kind and friendly and there is a lot of care in the food. Highly recommend for a casual spot with yummy Korean food!

Taste of home! If you are looking for an authentic Korean meal, this is the place to go! Gookbap translates to rice and soup. Most of the menu includes noodles or dumplings though. All are delicious. My husband and I met the grandma owner as we entered. She is so sweet - she offered us homemade sauce - be careful of the jalapeño spice - it's fragrant! The restaurant also sells bags of handmade stuffed dumplings on the side! We ordered : seafood kalgooksoo- huge portion 5/5 Yookgaejang 5/5 perfectly satisfies that soup craving feeling Homemade kimchi 5/5 perfectly fresh Self serve water, sauce, and kimchi. Clean and family friendly. Street parking.

Super delicious knife-cut noodles for a snowy day. All the soups come in big bowls, and takeout containers at the front if you want to take leftover broth home. The halmoni/grandma there is super sweet and might ask you how your meal is, please protect her at all costs and be nice!! :') Also please note that it is self service but sometimes the workers will bring stuff out for you if they're not doing anything else. Establishment is clean, and I love their kimchi there - I can't believe they don't charge extra for it and let you refill as much as you like (I wouldn't be surprised if they changed that soon). Clam kalguksu: Comes with a dipping sauce for your clams. The broth itself is sweetened naturally by the clams, and the noodles have an intrinsic flavor that also soaks up the flavor and saltiness of the soup well. The texture is just as soft and chewy as I like. Mandu Yukgejang: Comes with a bowl of rice. The lady will warn you that it's spicy, but if you're good with spicy food it'll be fine. Love all the softened green onion and gosari namul (korean fernbrake) in there. There is some shredded beef and glass noodles in there, but not a crazy amount. I loved eating the dumplings because the fillings get extra juicy after boiling in the soup for a bit. Overall I was the most impressed with the clam kalguksu. I inhaled it so fast I choked lol. I was kind of nervous about writing a rave review because I don't want people to come in with super high expectations (and put pressure on the sweet lady who works there). I came in not expecting anything too crazy, and I was pleasantly surprised. Super satisfied and happy right now and I don't feel icky/bogged down by the meal, so the food feels very clean. Definitely coming here again, even if it's just to eat alone. :)
